I’m sorry all that happened, but I’m glad she’s not going to be around anymore. Shawn shares my sentiments. Coming from someone who believes in committed relationships and monogamy, that’s completely repulsive in every way. Calling us “cheesy”? Maybe she should take a note from our book. You know, the one where we actually care about and respect each other.
made chewy lemon cookies with meyer lemons yesterday. they are spectacular.
made kale chips today. they went soggy after a couple hours, bah. but they were crispy and awesome!
bought a blender to make smoothies, and that’s what a majority of the kale is gonna get used for. nomnom!
BAH! Send me some Meyer lemons and maybe I’ll dehydrate some kale for you.
Homemade replacements
Lately I’ve been experimenting (okay, obsessed) with homemade cleaning and beauty products. Some have turned out great! Some have turned out horrible. Overall, my husband just thinks I’m “going a little bit insane” and that I need to “stop putting vinegar in and on everything!” Note: our house does not smell like vinegar and I will not stop can’t stop the ‘ger. Anyway, here are a few products and tips I’m going to make permanent in my house.
Crisis
I can’t find #10 Corks ANYWHERE. Vinegar infusions will either be put back into the mason jars (sad) or become much more expensive than I wanted them to be (super sad).
Edit: Success! Though they are a little bit big. I’m just happy they keep the vinegar from coming out.
I’m working on some more vinegar infusions: pineapple mango, peach, raspberry, strawberry, and blueberry.
Also FINISHED all the other diy Christmas gifts! There’s bbq rub, bacon salt, brown sugar scrub, and lemon sugar scrub. I made some custom labels (except for the bacon salt, I added a bit of color to those but they were pre-made) and plan on making some cute tags for the bags they’ll be put in. I am so ready for Christmas!
